07 Nov Questera advises Brazilian government agency on ICT for urban mobility
The CEO of Questera, Raul Colcher, presented, in a meeting at FINEP, a financing agency of the Brazilian Ministry of Science, Technology and innovation, the results of a study on “Information and Communication Technologies for Urban Mobility”, conducted by request of that government agency. It identifies a set of areas of interest in which R&D and innovation projects may be financed with resources of FINEP. Among others, these are technologies that allow regulation and optimization of the urban traffic, increasing the level of information of planners and users of public transportation, instrumenting real-time supervisory and intervention functions, in addition to help controlling vehicular emissions, facilitating accessibility and supporting the usage by handicapped.
The study also recommends emphasizing aspects of technology coordination and integration and advocates the need to promote awareness, education and information of city executives, with respect to urban mobility and associated tools.
